We spent one day power-boating up the Snake River into Hell's Canyon. We began by going UP the rapids and then went back down. The engine in that boat was very powerful to say the least. That was enjoyable and it was cool to see the dam at the top.
The next 5 days we spent with Middle Fork River Tours going down on 2 paddle boats and 3 oar boats (you could go on either). On the paddle boat you could do some paddling and have a wild time on the rapids while on the oar boat you could just sit, relax, and take everything in. Everything was absolutely beautiful as I hoped. We went a total of about 100 miles during the trip. It was definitely a trip I could and would (and hopefully will) take again! Lots of great memories.

Here is the power-boat. (Inadvertent advertising)
Some big rapids we went up.
Here is the dam.
The blood-related Guys: Dad, Jared, Me, Erik.
All of the guys before we headed onto the river. We look good with our helmets, life jackets, rain gear, and yes, wetsuits under all that as well! Unfortunately it snowed this first day and was extremely cold, but luckily our first camp site had a hot springs!
(L-->R according to heads: Me, Allen, Jared, Erik, Dad, Jeff)
Here Jared is getting some of the WONDERFUL food they served us everyday. Seriously... it was gourmet meals every day! You can see me and how I can't wait to get started!
Here is a pic of Erik and Jeff as they get ready to meet the day on a paddle boat.
All the guys (except Allen which I'm guessing is taking the picture) hangin' out by the fire one night. Yes, that's me with the reflective line on my chest... I wanted to make sure I didn't get lost at night.
A great picture of one of the views that was stunning.
This is a bird's eye view of one of our camp sites with everything set up.
Thanks again Dad!
Glad you all had fun, and glad Allen agreed to go! I still agree that it'd be fun for couples to make a similar trip in the future. Allen's all excited to buy and use a dutch oven now after all that good food.
