Well, I'm back from my weekend in Estes Park, CO. Megan and I had a good time and maybe I'll post pictures and details of some of the things that we did in a day or so, but if not, just know we had a good time. :) But for now, I wanted to post on the very nice sandals that I purchased while there. Albeit I didn't plan on buying them, but after getting there and realizing I only had flip-flops (totally slipped my mind to take shoes for hiking and walking longer distances EVEN THOUGH Meg told me to grab a pair as we walked out to the car) I figured I would by them for the weekend, my June rafting trip, and for years to come. I got this style/version because of the new sole that is supposed to be good in wet situations (like the June rafting trip!). They are Chaco Z/1 Marine sandals. I've always wanted a pair of Chacos because of their great arch support and comfort. I'll put the description of them from it's website so you can read all about the awesomeness of them. I wore them for 2 hikes (one 3 mile, other 1.5 mile) and even though they weren't as desirable as actual shoes, they did a great job! No blisters, no rubbing, no bloody skin, no foot cramps, nada. Pretty good for a sandal!
Mens Chaco Z/1 Vibram Marine Sandal

Built from our classic Z/1 Style, the Z/1® Marine is equipped with our new Vibram® Marine Outsole, a slip resistant nonmarking outsole created specifically for boat decks. It has a Biocentric food bed, which means it has an aggressive arch support to help control pronation and a heal-cup for shock absorption. The sole is NON-Marking and the shoe can even be resoled!
